DID YOU KNOW...

The majority of lamb you buy in the grocery store is imported from Australia or New Zealand?  Together, they account for approximately 70% of the lamb on the US market.

Once proud of their grassfed heritage, Austrailan lamb producers are quickly and intensively expanding into feedlot operations to keep up with their export demand.

In an effort to keep up with the demand, they have made the decision to increase the quantity of their product at the detriment to quality.

Grassfed lamb is more heavily loaded with nutrients and essential fats.  Grain fed lambs are low on iron; in other words, they are anemic.  Seeds and grains do not provide the nutrients that a green leaf does.

A person who eats their vegetables is going to be healthier than someone who sits around in a confined space eating cereal for days on end.  The same is true for lamb, and it affects the quality of the meat in both cases.

When eating a grassfed animal, there will be a much better balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.

LambTex lamb is grassfed and finished.  Our lamb does not sit on a boat for  weeks before it enters the grocery store distribution system.  LambTex lamb is born and raised on our local Texas farm.  What a blessing that is, given the current state of the global supply chain.  We are here for you and those you hold most dear.

No five week trips across the ocean in a container

New Zeland lamb is only grass fed, and has, like ours, no Antibiotics...No Hormones...etc.  We cannot fault that.

It is good meat, but you nor I know when the meat was harvested.  We know that it takes a 5 week trip in containers (beautiful scenery, but fastforward to 3mins) across the ocean, only to begin its' entry into the US grocery distribution system.

The meat you purchase from LambTex is locally born and raised.  It is locally harvested, and it supports our local economy.  It is the best you can buy, and we would put it up against the best lamb in the world.
